Chickweed is delicious and nutritious. It is a very delicate plant and has beautiful small white flowers. I often see my dogs, horses and Oliver self select this very common herb. It’s main habitat is ditches, hedgerows and gardens and is most prolific in the late spring and summer.
Internally it helps sooths, protects and mildly lubricates the upper digestive tract. Oliver my long haired cat likes to self select chickweed oil to help with expelling fur balls and as a digestive tonic.
