About Elizabeth Whiter

I find that nature truly provides everything required to aid physical, emotional and mental health for all animals. For many years I have nurtured and developed recipes based on countless hours and decades of observation and work with animals of all species. I am thrilled I can share with you my experience, knowledge and passion for culinary herbs, food and plant material in my second book You Can Heal Your Pet I co-wrote with holistic veterinary Surgeon Dr Rohini Sathish. My first published book The Animal Healer shares with the reader my professional journey to become an animal healer, and specialising in Zoopharmacognosy, communication and behaviour with interesting case histories, working in rescue centres home and abroad.

The use of culinary herbs, honey, and other base substances is dear to my heart. In You Can Heal Your Pet is a wealth of information from my heart and my kitchen. I have such a passion for plants, flowers and herbs I also like to include them in tasty, nutritional homemade recipes I make for myself, my dogs Lily, Claude, Milo and Frankie, my horses Betty, Dancer and Iris and rescues cats at the RSPCA.  Pets are living longer and like us need to have a balanced diet and lifestyle. My vision has always been to create a harmonious relationship between people, animals and plants living together as organically as possible and honouring the natural cycles and laws of life. Enjoy reading!

I have developed the range of AnimalChoices® infused oils, which are organically grown and certified to an exacting standard, with full traceability ensuring the purity of the substances used and to my own recipe which is tried and tested.  As with any natural product, many factors can affect the quality of oils sometimes creating an inferior or substandard infused oil. Oils from an unproven or economical source may impede the self-selection process and the animal will not get all of the nutrients they need.  I know through years of experience how animals respond to self-selection and their reactions to it.

The variety of animals who have taught me invaluable lessons through their response to herb infused oils, dried herbage, fruits, vegetable and root matter have included dogs, cats, horses, orangutans, sun bears, ferrets, lizards, snakes, servals, cheetahs and chimpanzees, to name a few.

Prevention is better than cure

In this day and age there are numerous major health concerns manifesting as food sensitivities and allergies. There are many hidden substances in foods such as additives, colour, GM and preservatives that we are unaware of, and can be very harmful to our beloved pets. Animals eating cheap processed foods can develop eczema, constipation, diarrhoea, wind, lethargy, kidney and immune problems to name but a few.  Environmental and topical allergens are equally important to test.

Could this be you?

Empowering the pet guardian and animal charity staff is key for me to help our animals maintain good health throughout the whole of their life. We run established Diploma courses and workshops to share animal husbandry knowledge. You may wish to join us please email for Diplomas, Courses and workshop information.
